This beautiful coupé was first registered to the Daimler-Benz AG and used as a test car for the new developed fuel direct injection system at that time. There exist an evidence that none other than the "father" of the famous 300 SL, Rudolf Uhlenhaut, drove with it. From September 1957, the car was used by BP in Hamburg for fuel tests. In 2003 was it offered for sale. After a new owner was found, we got the ordered to carry out a full restoration with the greatest attention to originality. The restoration lasted from 2007 to May 2009. A photo documentation of the restoration shows in an impressive way all the necessary steps up to the perfect result. In 2013, the car was sold to Switzerland. Six years later, the car returned back to Germany. The car still radiates a timeless elegance, paired with maintained technology and an interesting history a very successful combination.
