GRAND BASEL

Created by Hermann Ries | |   Events

We are presenting ourselves at the GRAND BASEL, the exclusive international trade fair for extraordinary automobiles from 6 to 9 September 2018 and cordially invite you to visit us at our stand. At the stand E01 hall 1.1 north, you can expect two exquisite automobile splendid specimens with excellent Kienle restoration: one of only 59 built Mercedes-Benz 600 Landaulets and one of just 65 built Mercedes-Benz 300 d Cabriolet D.

At the Kienle stand C02 in hall 1.1 north we are showing a Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Roadster in the rare color strawberry red metallic, a 300 SL gullwing in silver metallic, a Porsche 911 Carrera RS and a Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse", one of the five Les Légendes special models. This special model named "Black Bess" had its world premiere at the Motor Show in Beijing in 2014. 'Bugatti is reminiscent of the Type 18, which was one of the first supercars in the automobile history.

We look forward to friendly technical discussions with you in the extraordinary ambience of this new and exclusive exhibition.

The homepage of the Swiss exhibition states: “MCH Group, one of the world’s leading live marketing companies headquartered in Basel/Switzerland, is launching a new global exhibition format: Grand Basel, the first global salon for the world’s most important and valuable automobiles of the past, present and future. For the first time, cars will be set and presented in the cultural context of design, architecture and art. Following its premiere in Basel in September 2018, further events have been planned for Miami and Hong Kong. Grand Basel addresses international connoisseurs, experts and collectors with the highest standards, as well as a general audience interested in automobile aesthetics, technological sophistication, arts and culture.”

The Grand Basel not only heralds a new era with its predetermined exhibition and gallery architecture. Rather, this show is completely detached from the nostalgic flair of established collector's events. Based on the presentation of works of art in galleries and museums, a modular exhibition architecture was created especially for the Grand Basel, which is reduced to the essentials. Each exhibit has its own specially designed frame, which allows the exhibit to be admired from every angle. (Illustration: Blue Scope, Courtesy of Grand Basel)
